This month, fall turned into winter, there were Christmas parties and a surprise visit to see Meg in Virginia, fun dinners and a week off work. It's been lovely, but you wouldn't know that from my snapshots. (I took very few.) Christmas tree lights (out of focus, of course, because I roll like it's 2008 over here) and dogs were my favorite shots this month.
It's been awhile, so let's catch up.
I went south for the holidays and the first stop was in Reston, Virginia to visit my sister and her family. Indie ate nearly all of Tonic's dinner, I drank all of the beer and wine, and then we kept my nephew awake far past his bedtime. I'm quite certain that I'll be invited back soon.
Early in the evening we took the dogs for a walk. At one point, we decided that a photo of the "doggy cousins" (I know, corny) was absolutely needed. It was a terrible time to try and take a photo. It was nearly dark. My dog was out of her mind with all the new smells and sights because she'd been cooped up in the car all day on the drive from Boston. Tonic had a rough Christmas and was probably going to have some pretty major surgery soon, so everyone was worried and a quite a bit sad over that. We needed this picture on this day, light and timing be damned.
While we did get one of them both looking towards the camera (success!), this one is my favorite. If I had to give it a title, I'd call it "Squirrel!"
